Insurance Information

At Richmond Allergy & Asthma Specialists, we are happy to file insurance claims for covered services. However, prompt payment of your balance remains the responsibility of the patient. Copayments are due at the time of service and will not be billed later.

Before your first appointment, we strongly recommend contacting your insurance provider to understand your plan benefits, coverage and any referral requirements. This helps prevent unexpected costs and ensures you are prepared for your visit. If your plan requires a referral to see one of our specialists, it is the patient’s responsibility to obtain that referral before your appointment.

We also require patients to bring an updated insurance card to every office visit, not just the first. This helps our team verify your insurance information and file claims accurately.

For your convenience, payments can be made in our office, online or over the phone using Visa, Discover and MasterCard. If your financial circumstances require special consideration, please contact us as soon as you receive your bill so we can discuss available payment plan options.
